Our story
Bhutan isn't where we work. It's home.
Deya Bhutan Tours was started by Bhutanese guides with one belief: the best guide to Bhutan is someone from Bhutan. We had watched agencies abroad sell “authentic Bhutan” with stock photos and copied itineraries, and we knew we could do better.
Everyone on our team was born here. Our guides know which monastery opens at dawn, which farmhouse in Bumthang makes the best ema datshi, and which trail in the Haa valley no guidebook mentions. You deal with us directly, with no overseas agent in between, from your first message to the drive back to Paro airport.

Yes. Deya Bhutan Tours is a Bhutanese tour operator based in Thimphu, and our guides are licensed by the Department of Tourism.
Bhutan is a very safe country. Your guide stays with you throughout and our office is on call. In an emergency we arrange medical care at the nearest hospital and, if needed, evacuation.
Our cancellation terms depend on how close to departure you cancel and on hotel and airline rules. We send them in writing with every quote, before you pay anything.
Yes. If you have travelled with us before or a friend recommends someone, tell us and we will book them if they are free on your dates.
